Christmas Eve ~ Our family Christmas '09

On Christmas Eve, I made cinnamon rolls for breakfast and we spent the morning playing with new toys the girls had received the night before.

Daddy set up their new doll house from Mimi & Papi and they have had SO much fun playing with it and letting their imaginations unfold!

Around 10 am it started to snow and it was beautiful!!
We went out to a late lunch at Genghis Grill and it was delicious! It was the first time I had eaten there and I was impressed, can't wait to go again! You pick out the meats, veggies, sauces, spices that you like and they cook it for you over the grill with rice/noodles of your choice. You will not leave there hungry, I promise you that :)

It was so fun to venture out in the snow! The girls loved getting snowed on and having it in their hair. HA!

We came home for awhile and relaxed and then headed to the Christmas Eve service at our church at 4:30pm. By this time, the snow was really coming down...

The girls sat with us in the service and loved all of the songs we sang.

By the time the service ended, the car was completely snowed/iced over! It was quite the journey getting home on the snow covered roads but we made it home safely. :)

We had a small dinner (still full from lunch) and then we decorated our cookies for Santa!

The girls loved opening each of their gifts. They got some new "Mega Blocks" and had fun building castles and houses for their princesses. Shae is Miss Independent when it comes to building things - she made her dolls their own rooms.

They set out their cookies for Santa on the fireplace and a glass of milk!

The girls went right to sleep. We told them that Santa wouldn't come unless they did! ;)
The next morning, the girls were so excited to see that Santa had eaten all of their cookies & drank all of the milk! He must have been hungry!

Later that morning, we got baths & all ready for our Christmas celebration at Momma G and Papa G's house! More pictures to come!
