Ice, Snow & Home-Bound!

What a crazy week we had last week! Last Tuesday, we had a major ice storm come through Dallas. School was cancelled and roads were so dangerous to drive on. Ryan tried to make it to work on Tuesday am, but had to turn around because the roads were so bad. School/Church activities were cancelled on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday so we were home-bound! On Friday am, we woke up to 6" of SNOW!!!!

The weathermen said that the snow actually provided much more tracking on the roads to cover the ice. We ventured out to get some groceries and get a couple of movies at Blockbuster. We felt safe in Ryan's big truck, but we did see some crazy things on the roads!
We had been STUCK at home since Monday night!!

This weekend, Von Miller was signing autographs at the sports memorabilia store in the mall. Miller was a Texas A&M linebacker & Butkus award winner this year.

Donuts with Daddy!

The girls LOVED having Ryan come to their school for "Donuts With Daddy." They wore their favorite team jersey so of course all 3 were decked out in their Aggie gear!

Curly Kaelyn??

NOT FOR TODAY! :)

Kaelyn asked me to straighten her hair for "Crazy Hair Day" at school today. Too bad we are iced in and school was cancelled! She still had fun being a straight-haired girl! :)

Shae's Weekend With George

Shae was chosen by her Pre-K teachers to take their class monkey, George, home with her for the weekend. She was SO excited!

Getting ready to go to Sean's b-day party @ Pump It Up on Friday night!

Sweet sisters & George

On Saturday, George came with us to Momma G and Papa G's house out in the country. The kids had fun playing outside on the beautiful 70* day!
All ready for church on Sunday!!
On Monday morning, George got to come with us to the dentist. Here he is with Shae, who is about to get her x-rays of her teeth!
George wanted to pose with Shae & Kaelyn for their "No Cavity Club" picture to hang up in the dentist office! Now we are getting our pictures printed off and going to make a scrapbook page for the George notebook. Shae will share it with the class Tuesday at school.

Soccer!!

We signed the girls up for indoor soccer this Spring, they are SO excited!
Their season starts in March, but we have been practicing in the backyard. We got them some cleats, shin guards, shorts & each a new soccer ball. They're all set!

In action playing in the backyard!

Christmas EVE!

On Christmas Eve, we went to an early dinner at Black Eyed Pea and then to the 4:30pm Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at our church.

Our Christmas Eve tradition is to go to the candlelight service at our church and then home to open presents from eachother.
The first gift they opened were new Christmas PJs!! Too cute!
They also got some new clothes, new toys from eachother, new dolls & a double stroller for their babies!

Baking cookies for SANTA!! The girls told me that he loves peanut butter and chocolate chip so we made both!
