COLORADO 2010!

What a wonderful time we had in beautiful Colorado!! It was such a relaxing and enjoyable time. Our trip started very early Thursday morning. We left our house @ 4:45am and were at the airport by a little after 5am.

Daddy dropped us and our tons of luggage off while he parked the car. This was the girls first time at the airport and to ride on a plane so they were SOOO excited!!

Both of the girls wore their backpacks with fun activities to do on the plane!

 

On our first flight, Daddy sat right across the aisle from us. It was only an hour flight so the girls enjoyed coloring and looking at the airplane magazines.


We had a layover in San Antonio, so we enjoyed a yummy McDonald's sausage biscuit and watched the planes.

The girls entertained everyone around us and loved all of the extra attention :)

On our second flight, Shae got to sit by Daddy and Kaelyn with me!

Kaelyn ended up taking a short nap too, and we woke them up right before the landing so the loud noise wouldn't scare them.

We got our luggage, rental car & were on our way to the mountains!!!

We met Mimi and Papi at TGI Friday's for lunch in Denver and then headed to our condo in Breckenridge!! It was beautiful and right across the street from downtown Breckenridge.

We unpacked everything and made ourselves at home!

The girls loved the balcony and sitting out in the big chairs.

After dinner, we headed to the local grocery store to buy groceries & snacks for the week! The girls got a bath & went straight to bed, they were tired out!!

On Friday, we woke up and made breakfast at the condo. We took our time getting ready and spent some time out on our balcony again. It was such a nice morning!

On Saturday, we ate breakfast and then headed downtown to shop and walk around. The weather was perfect with a high in the mid-60's everyday. It was pretty chilly in the shade.

 

On Sunday, we headed to Buena Vista for the day to meet up with Mimi and Papi's good friends, Beth and Dean, who have a cabin there on a Young Life campground.

On the way, we went over Hoosier Pass and the continental divide!

Once we got to Buena Vista, we stopped for lunch at a great burger place. It had a huge park behind it so the girls loved running around & stretching their legs!

Beth & Dean's place was beautiful! It had a huge balcony that overlooked the mountains with a creek below.

We had a wonderful time visiting with them for the afternoon. They were such great hosts and even had cookies waiting when we arrived! Mrs. Beth loved entertaining the girls with games and playing, they had so much fun!

We headed back to Breckenridge and made dinner at the condo. It was a very relaxing evening!

On Monday, we headed back downtown to walk around. The girls loved going into this toy store where Shae picked out a pink poodle and Kaelyn got a new necklace! Thanks, Mimi & Papi!

That evening, we headed to Dillon to eat dinner at a fun "cook your own steak" restaurant. It had a salad bar, baked potatoes, Texas toast and more! On the way, we stopped to take pictures of Lake Dillon. It was beautiful!

That night, we had to pack up everything because we were leaving the next morning. :(

On Tuesday, we took a few more pictures before we headed back to the Denver airport.
