On Tuesday night, we took the girls to their first Rangers game vs. the Yankees! Daddy came home early to pick us home and we headed to Arlington! We ate a delicious dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings and got to the game early to let the girls look around.
At about 7PM, they came over the loud speaker and said that the game was going to be delayed because the storms were heading straight for the ballpark. GREAT :) Never heard of a "rain delay" without any rain, but ok....
We left our seats and went to find a table to sit down at while we could. Daddy got the girls some cotton candy & we snacked on all kinds of candy :) Luckily, when we entered the ballpark they gave the girls coloring books - those definitely came in handy!
At about 8PM, still no rain...Soon after the rain and hail began!! We were thankful we had found a table where we did because those on the bottom deck were getting soaked from the roof leaking and rain blowing in!
At about 9PM, the storms had passed and they announced that the first pitch would be at 9:30PM. By this time, the girls had gotten their "2nd wind" and were eating goldfish and juice and as happy as could be! We thought we'd give it a shot & stay a little while longer.
By 9:45PM, the rain started up again and after watching an inning of the game, we decided to call it a night! WHEW, we were exhausted! The girls still had fun & enjoyed the time we were there! Hopefully we can take them to their first real GAME later this season!
