This past weekend, Ryan and I enjoyed a fabulous vacation to San Diego, CA! What a beautiful city! We had such a great time enjoying nice dinners, time at the beach, and sleeping in!!
Our hotel was located in the Gaslamp Quarter and was within walking distance of over 90 restaurants and shops.
We left early Friday morning and arrived in San Diego just in time for lunch. We unpacked & then headed for a tour of the USS Midway Museum. It was incredible!
The USS Midway is a Naval aircraft carrier that served for 47 years. It served from the end of WWII up until Desert Storm in 1991. No other aircraft carrier served as long as the USS Midway.
We had so much fun taking the audio tour!
On the way back to our hotel, we caught a ride on a bicycle buggy!
What a fun way to enjoy the beautiful city & nice weather!
That evening, we ate a delicious seafood dinner at the Oceanaire.
On Saturday, we ate a nice breakfast & headed to Mission Beach for the day!
It was perfect weather with a high 0f 75 degrees & a nice breeze. We ate lunch on the boardwalk and enjoyed a peaceful afternoon in the sun.
That evening, we ate at a quaint Italian Restaurant.
On Sunday, we ate breakfast & headed to the airport & back to reality.
When we landed & were walking to baggage claim, we ran into NOLAN RYAN! I didn't even recognize him, but Ryan spotted him from a mile away!
We missed our girls, but truly enjoyed our time away together! Can't wait for the next time!
