Happy 1st Birthday Sweet Girls!!

Happy 1st Birthday to our precious girls! We can hardly believe it's been a year since we welcomed our twin girls into the world. What an exciting day to finally see their faces after 9 months! They were perfectly healthy & we were so thankful that they did not have any complications being born 4 weeks early. We spent 4 nights at the hospital and then we began our life with our new family.

What an exciting year it has been! It's been amazing for Ryan & I to experience parenthood firsthand & watch our girls learn new things & meet their milestones. It's wonderful to see things through a child's eyes & seeing that big smile on their faces everyday is just priceless!

We are having a small family birthday party for Kaelyn & Shae this weekend, but we had to celebrate today too! We blew up some balloons & the girls had a ball chasing them around!

The girls are getting so smart & we think they understand what we say 99% of the time. When we ask them where their caterpillar, dog, bear & books are, they walk/crawl right over to them! We are also working on learning our body parts like: nose, head, eyes, mouth & belly! They are getting very good at using their baby sign language & have become pros at "More" and "All Done" and "Drink" while eating.

We had our last bottle of formula last night & we are getting better every day at using our straw cups at mealtime. Shae LOVES her milk & drinks a ton! Kaelyn loves eating so much, we have to remind her to take breaks & get a drink of milk! We have to tell her to take a drink of milk so she can get more food! They absolutely LOVE apple juice at snack time!

We've always heard that it's hard to picture your life without your children once you have them. This could not be more true! We cannot imagine life without our girls! We feel truly blessed to be parents & look forward to what year 2 has in store for our family!!
